For companies – integrate embassy networks in your strategy to increase your commercial and societal impact

Companies have a powerful tool in their international growth: the trust, access and national credibility created by diplomatic networks. Used well, they can help solve regulatory issues and open opportunities in regulated markets.

I know how these networks work from the inside. I can translate between commercial and diplomatic realities, and integrate embassy engagement into your market strategy to produce measurable impact.

Illustrative examples

Global strategy alignment and execution

Lead the design and execution of global public affairs strategy, ensuring the diplomatic network is used where it can create commercial results. Build the tools, processes and routines that make this consistent across markets.

High-stakes market engagement

Contribute to market strategy and act directly on the ground, representing the company when needed and using the embassy platform to structure engagement with public and private actors.

Hands-on capacity building

Work directly with selected Country Managers or Public Affairs Directors to embed diplomatic networks as a core instrument in addressing market-based challenges and opportunities.

About

Bifrost Group is led by David Schjerlund.

David Schjerlund

My engagements through Bifrost Group build on my experience from the Danish Foreign Service. Over six embassies as well as the home service, I have worked with a range of areas from development, defence and security policy, European affairs, and economic diplomacy. I also bring lived private-sector experience, being the CEO of CEDDIE, a niche cybersecurity training and education company.

I lead all engagements personally. When a project requires it, I work with selected partners with deep experience in business development, diplomatic training and public affairs.

You can read more about my experience on LinkedIn.
